Right now, being home is kind of a "part time" deal. Part of the deal is restrictions on being in crowds, therefore, no church attendance for a while because her counts are too low. Visits are still ok, as long as you are not sick and wash/sanitize hands well.
We are enjoying doing things like sleeping in our own bed, sitting on the front porch with friends and being enveloped by the quite neighborhood and great weather. Having a popsicle while watching TV from the recliner couch and home cooked meals and snacks. All of this is counted as a blessing.
The other part of "part time" means a round trip to the BMT Clinic at LDS Hospital East 8. Everyday, because medicare won't support home infusion, we go to LDS to get two IV infusions, one is the fungal medicine. The other is the chemo until the cycle is over. She also gets two pills which insurance doesn't cover, so the clinic provides them and they just go on the hospital bill, as if she were an inpatient. They are too expensive to get in any other way. One other pill we were able to get thru the insurance is also high deductible with a copay of $2K for a 21 day supply. The hospital, thru patient assistance, was able to get us a grant for $10K to cover the cost of it for a while and the insurance picks up the rest. Another tender mercy.......

Diane is very thankful for any well wishes, even if she is not able to respond to all of them.
