Today is the third of ten Dacogen (decitabine) chemo treatments. So far they have gone pretty well. She notices that she gets aches and pains in her bones and joints and also fatigue. We're learning that these poisons can do that to you. Our nurse this morning was a little frustrated that the chemo was taking a while to come up from the pharmacy and said he would have to make it himself. He would just get some kerosene, arsenic and Tabasco sauce and make a batch! Oh, yum?
Diane is going to go to Sacrament meeting today, first time in 7 months! The doctors said she was allowed to go if she would live by the six foot rule - no hugging, no shaking hands, and no illnesses close by - is doable. She'll be cautious, not anti social. It will be good for her to see all of you!
Diane, everybody will be so happy to see you. We'll have to erect a 6 foot barricade!
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see you at church, even if it was from a distance. Hugs!!!
