Clinic, blood transfusion

Diane had been pretty tired this week and her levels have been going down.  They were low enough today that she is going to get one unit of blood.  We are hoping that will give her some energy. This will be the first time since leaving the hospital that she has had blood given to her. Maybe this will give her a little bit of an appetite as well, it's been very hard for her to eat of late. The transfusion will take about an hour and a half.  It was a little tough finding a vein today to take blood samples and give blood.  Things like vein quality and scar tissue have added to the difficulty.

Also we need to thank whoever doorbell ditched us last night with paper hearts and chocolates and chocolate chip cookies.  Your thoughts are very appreciated.

The next Vidaza chemo treatment will begin on Monday and will go thru Sunday.

Diane is very thankful for any well wishes, even if she is not able to respond to all of them.
