The doctor says we're entering a new phase which he calls boring. This is a phase they want her to be in which means she has less care and less medications like antibiotics, steroids, antifungals and IV fluids. This is where they want her to become better in general health and allow her immune system to return a little (it will not return completely because of the bad bone marrow). If, and it still is only an if, they can get her to that plateau then there is a possibility that she will be able to come home with the proper safeguards for a week or two before the bone marrow transplant. All of this is one day at a time. Her new collection is growing thanks to generous friends.....
