Yesterday, there were no fevers again that's a really good sign. They continued the fungal treatments. Plans were being made to know which way to go on home treatment or in clinic treatment. They are still going to talk about that plan in tumor board.
Several of the tests, blood, culture and scans results came back negative. They are still unsure where the fungus came from our is residing.
In the early afternoon, Dr Ashe came in and discussed with us going forward. One of the things that they talked about in their counsel was to begin the Dacogen and combine it with the Revlimid oral chemo treatment. On this regimen she will have Dacogen IV for 5 days in a row. This treatment will be coupled with an oral chemo, Revlimid, which will be taken concurrent with the Dacogen and continued for a total of 21 days. After the fungal treatment had finished running for 3 hours they began the Dacogen chemo through the IV and she also took the oral med Revlimid.
She didn't feel very good and found it difficult to eat yesterday. Finally she said she was hungry and I went to Noodles and Company, got her curly noodles with butter and salt, she ate the full bowl. She really enjoyed that more than all the IV fluids....

Diane is very thankful for any well wishes, even if she is not able to respond to all of them.
