Today we're getting blood tests and a clinic visit. This past week, since last Friday has been the longest stretch of not coming to the hospital. Even though she was getting tired, we cleaned the kitchen and bathroom pantries. We suspect she needs blood but we really did work hard. Guess we'll see what the Dr says.
Dr says she is going to get benedryl, one unit of platelets, two units of blood and a PICC line dressing change. We told them she had to be good until Monday since we were going to the Homstead in Midway Ut with the family for three days. (Ya, ya, we know, NO pools) They also reminded us that if she gets a fever she has to come right in, Homestead or not.
CHANGE OF DATES:
The donor has had to postpone his stem cell donation for two weeks. We only know he is not in the US and that he is male between the ages of 36- 39. They try to find a match for 10 different criteria and get young male donors. He is also a 10 out of 10 match. We also know he is worth the wait because he is the same blood type and CMV also has some of the good bonus features they don't always get from a donor. Some of these bonus features match exactly the features she has. So the hospital entry date is 8 June and transplant is 17 June. She is expected to leave the hospital around 13 July. We will be able to wave goodbye to the kids and grandkids on their way to Bear Lake. Diane won't be going this year. This trip would be outside the parameters the doctors have set for distance from the hospital. Besides, she wouldn't even be able to hug wet grandkids, let alone get near the water or her loved Wave Runner.

Diane is very thankful for any well wishes, even if she is not able to respond to all of them.
