Today we left the ICU unit and returned to East 8. Before leaving I was invited to do rounds about Diane. It was a very interesting opportunity and I learned a lot, the number of doctors, nurses and professionals dealing with health care that were there was astounding to me. I was the 11th person to enter the room of doctors and other specialists dealing with bone marrow transplant and ICU patients . As they discussed her case and whether or not she should be returning to East 8th from the ICU unit, they established several parameters that had to be met. All of these parameters were met during the morning and afternoon hours and she returned to the 8th floor around 5 pm. In addition to just moving to the 8th floor she was also switched to the room next door south which has a view of the temple and downtown Salt Lake. Just being able to see out the window with a temple view raised her spirits. She felt pretty good today and was breathing much easier especially as she was standing or sitting up. I am looking forward to her having a good night tonight and we'll see what tomorrow brings as we do each and everyday. We have been receiving cards, visits and phone calls from many many people and want you all to know how much we appreciate your love, prayers and support. She even got mail in the ICU, results of residency here for 3 weeks is beginning to show. I've got to get this published to the blog now or it will be tomorrow. Good night and God bless and keep you all.

Diane is very thankful for any well wishes, even if she is not able to respond to all of them.
