Clinic, Doctors, transfusions routine......

Here again at the clinic today.  Seems like the old saying really applies:  "same stuff, different day".

We saw three different doctors today, one the PA, one the infectious diseases doc and a BMT doctor.  Dr Asche says that the Revlimid is causing the platelets count to be low and Revlimid can cause clots, but she is going to discontinue the anti clotting medication shot for now, because the platelets counts are remaining low. Even when she gets more than one unit of platelets, she doesn't get much benefit from the second unit. So she feels the clotting is not as relevant in light of the risk of bleeding. They will continue to monitor her closely and make changes as required. We're grateful for their expertise and for them being willing to listen to their gut feelings along with the medical training.

They are going to have her get on a regimen of anti-nausea meds to help curb the sick feelings she is having presently.  Hope this helps her feel better overall.

We hear from many of you and are grateful for your thoughts and prayers.  Thanks again, and again.  We love you all!

Diane is very thankful for any well wishes, even if she is not able to respond to all of them.
