Today, the blood tests indicated that she was just barely above her threshold for needing blood. She had been dragging for a couple days so they are giving her a pint in transfusion today while we're here. Her platelet and neutrophil counts have been coming up by themselves. That's good. Her blasts are still down too. They are scheduling heart tests for this Thursday (14th) and then lung tests for Tuesday (19th), so as to be ready for her hospital entry date of June 8. They are making sure her vital organs are up to the stress they will have thrust upon them during the obliterating chemo and stem cell infusion marrow transplant.
Tests! Tests! Tests! I'm so sorry you have to go through so dang much! Every time I read a blog post I am saying out loud "THIS JUST HAS GOT TO WORK!!!!" You are so often in my thoughts and prayers! I really hate that you've had to endure so much! And I KNOW you're with me on that one. It was wonderful to see you with your family and see the smiles while you enjoyed the Homestead. You're a trooper and you amaze and inspire me! You're one of the strongest women I know and YOU CAN BEAT THIS! You just have to, my dear friend. Love you!!! Carol
