One week down Day 7, first chemo fever & future test dates

The first week is coming to an end and it has been such fun. Late yesterday she had a fever and nearly the minute that they found that out, in came two nurses and drew  blood for about 4 cultures at the lab and antibiotics were administered. Her cough is really bothering her to the point of pains in her side, other than that she is feeling mostly good, effects of first chemo are wearing off. They have scheduled another bone marrow biopsy for the 31st of December--what a way to ring out the old. Our holiday celebrations this year are definitely going to be different than those of the past. She enjoyed her lunch today, Carla brought lemon tarragon chicken and pasta from Plates & Pallets and it did taste wonderful to her. The other day, Wildings  brought festive treats and Patty brought treats and "Santa".  Many good friends have visited us.  So we're getting ready to party, even dressy socks....

Diane is very thankful for any well wishes, even if she is not able to respond to all of them.
